We started where you're starting.

CKC was built by people who needed a trainer first. Every member of our team was a client before they were a trainer.

The Beginning

Why Chantel Started CKC.

Chantel grew up in Canada with a dog she couldn't take anywhere.

Walks were stressful. Visitors made him explode. Public spaces were off-limits. Her family loved him — but they couldn't share him with the world. He spent most of his life behind a fence.

When Chantel moved to Southern Utah at 15, she knew two things: she wanted dogs in her life forever, and she never wanted to feel that limited again.

Years later, she started CKC Training to give other owners what her family didn't have — the freedom to take their dogs anywhere. To stores, restaurants, parks, hikes. To not apologize. To not avoid. To not brace.

Today, she's trained more than 300 dogs across Southern Utah. She still talks about that first dog every time someone asks why she does this.

“I remember what it felt like to have a dog I couldn't take anywhere. That's why I do this.”
— Chantel Clark, Founder

Meet the Team.

Three people. Real dogs. No franchise playbook.

Chantel Clark

Chantel Clark

Owner & Lead Trainer

Originally from Canada, now full-time in Southern Utah. Lead trainer on every program. Mom to a small (and well-trained) pack of demo dogs — including Luna, Bear, and Indie.

Dani RussellStarted as a client

Dani Russell

Trainer

Dani came to CKC as a client. Her dog Fern was fear-reactive when they arrived — anxious around strangers, terrified in public. Today, Fern is one of CKC's demo dogs, the calm one your reactive dog will learn from. Dani started training professionally with us in late 2024 and is currently studying Aviation at SUU.

Emily HardmanStarted as a client

Emily Hardman

Administrative Lead

Emily also came to CKC as a client. Her rescue Winston had severe anxiety when they got him — hiding for hours, panicked around guests. Now he’s the steady, social dog she always knew he could be. Emily joined CKC in late 2024, brings a background in business and marketing, and coaches girls’ lacrosse on the side.

Both Dani and Emily started as CKC clients. That's not a coincidence — it's the most honest credential we have. They believe in the method because it gave them the dogs they have today.

What We Believe.

01

Trust, obedience, and freedom in all environments.

The brand promise isn't marketing. It's the actual goal of every program we run.

02

We train the owners just as much as the dogs.

Real change isn't in the session. It's in what you do with your dog the other 23 hours of the day.

03

We don't believe in quick fixes.

Real training takes time, structure, and consistent practice. We say that upfront because every client who succeeds with us already understands it.

Where We Train

We're based in Southern Utah and train across St. George (Mon, Wed, Fri) and Cedar City (Tue, Thu), plus surrounding communities.
