How much does training cost?
We'll give you pricing on the in-home consult because every plan is customized. What we can tell you now: all programs include the physical gear — slow-feeder bowls, treat pouches, toys, leashes, and the e-collar. Most trainers in Southern Utah make you buy that separately. We don't.
How long does training actually take?
Board & Train transformations run 2–4 weeks. Private programs run 4–8 sessions over roughly the same window. Group class is ongoing — that's the point. Reactivity and service-dog work take longer; we'll be honest about timelines on the consult.
What's the "Balanced Training Method"?
It means we don't pick a side of the dog-training internet war. We use positive reinforcement for new behaviors — premium freeze-dried treats, single-ingredient chicken and salmon — and we use clear, fair correction (including e-collar work) for safety and reliability. The method is the outcome: a dog you can trust off-leash, in every environment.
Will this work for my [puppy / rescue / reactive / stubborn] dog?
Almost certainly. The free in-home consult is where we tell you honestly whether we're the right fit for your dog's specific situation.
Do you actually come to my home for the consultation?
Yes. Every time. It's the most important hour in the whole process — we watch your dog in the exact environment they'll need to succeed in. We serve St. George, Cedar City, and everything in between (Washington, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, La Verkin, Kanab). Out-of-town clients are welcome too.
What happens after the program ends?
You're invited to the community. Weekly group class. Monthly meetups. Seasonal events. Most clients stay for years — the group class is where the training keeps working, and where a lot of them accidentally find their people.
